Reuben is an award winning set and costume designer who is based in Staffordshire. He graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, studying BA (Hons) Theatre Practice: Design for stage.
He has worked extensively on new writing pieces and small fringe shows outside of his time at Central and he enjoys the collaborative nature of the industry.
Reuben’s mission is to create work that is accessible and educational for all. His aim is to design productions, especially for younger audiences, and creating an environment that immerses all in the storytelling. He has a real passion for site specific and open air performances, from his time helping outside on his family farm and the array of events held there.
Reuben is currently designing the costumes for Kin The Musical at The Theatro Technis directed by Emil Dale, he has recently designed the West End transfer of Declan Bennett’s one man show Boy Out The City at The Lyric Theatre, directed by Nancy Sullivan. Reuben has also recently designed the costumes for Trompe L’Oeil a queer love story at The Other Palace, directed by Blair Anderson.
He won the 2023 Off Westend Costume award for his design on Doctor Faustus with Lazarus Theatre Company at The Southwark Playhouse.
