About

Reuben is an award winning set and costume designer who is based in Staffordshire and London. He graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, studying BA (Hons) Theatre Practice: Design for stage.

He has worked extensively on new writing pieces, Off West End and West End theatres. He enjoys the collaborative nature of the industry, working closely with the creatives and casts on the projects.

Reuben’s mission is to create work that is accessible and educational for all. His aim is to design productions, especially for younger audiences, and creating an environment that immerses all in the storytelling. He has a real passion for site specific and open air performances, from his time helping outside on his family farm and the array of events held there.

Reuben has recently been announced as the Associate costume designer for Disney’s Freaky Friday the musical that opens in Home, Manchester. He also recently designed the costumes for Be More Chill at The Old Joint Stock. He is currently designing Possum Trot which will receive a UK premiere at The Tabard Theatre. Reuben has also recently worked and collaborated with some of Broadways notably creatives such as Chris Gatelli and Scott Pask on Silence, The Musical, as set supervisor at the Edinburgh Fringe and more recently with director Gabriel Barre, designing the costumes for the workshop production of Winghaven Park The Musical.

Reuben won the 2023 Off Westend Costume award for his design on Doctor Faustus with Lazarus Theatre Company at The Southwark Playhouse.
